About Mail on Monday

This is Mail on Monday - an email newsletter about my life that probably isn't really an email for the most part, and that might occasionally come out on Monday. Since the algorithm began trending more towards promoted and third party content I found that Facebook and Instagram stopped being a way to stay in touch with friends and started being a doom-scroll spiral into every narrower pits of despair. I keep promising - and failing - to post more, so this is an experiment in a more disciplined broadcast. Weekly-ish, multi-channel, deliberate. Let's see how it goes.

About Me

The intended audience already knows this, but maybe you got to this page by accident. I'm Martyn - a deliberately homeless traveller, mostly living out of campervans, on the road full-time since 2017. I share all things in life and on the road with Sam, acutely aware that without her tireless research and organisation very few of the things I enjoy doing would ever actually happen.

Those things include a love of hiking above most else, and mountains above most places (although beaches aren't bad either). I'm also a lawyer, which I do remotely to help pay for the travelling and the hiking and mountains and the beaches.
